Hyphessobrycon Serpae

Hyphessobrycon Serpae

This pretty small fish is discovered naturally in Brazil, and grows to a length of approximately 1.5 inch, occasionally slightly larger. It also has the virtue of a quiet and peaceful disposition.

The body has a strong red colouring which continues into the fins. Opaque white edgings to the fins give this fish an outstanding and some-what striking appearance. This is further emphasised by the black edging to the anal fin.

It breeds in a comparable manner to that described for Hyphessobrycon flammeus. The regular temperature range is 70° – 85° F.
