Olive Limia (Limia Versicolor)

Olive Limia (Limia Versicolor)

The body colour of Limia versicolor is a reddish olive-brown, slightly darker on the back, graduating to a silvery white on the belly. It is marked with a blue stripe along the body and with vertical dark bars, mainly on the rear half of the body. Both dorsal and caudal fins are yellow, and occasion¬ally the caudal fin will probably be discovered marked with vertical bands. There’s invariably a dark spot on the base of the dorsal fin.

Females generally grow to a length of about 2.5 inch, and males to about 1.75 inch.
